Repurposed Picture Frame

Saturday was my daughter's fourth birthday. She's into all the "pretties" as she calls it.

In order to keep her newest hair things in one place, I decided to repurpose this picture frame that I have had lying around.

To start with, I found this frame in the clearance isle at Michaels for a few dollars cause it was missing the glass.

I didn't necessarily like the dark color so I wanted to lighten it up.

No Lion!

Sunday September 11th was Grandparents Day! I always try to do a little something to show the grandparents who are active in my children's lives that they matter!

This Peek-a-Boo card came to me after I had designed a whole other card for this theme! I loved the idea of dandelions and a lion to go with the sentiment. After designing the first card, I decided that the peek a boo card would actually blend the two better.

I had to actually consult one of my tutorials on my blog to do this card, but it came back to me and was super easy to make.

Magical Fall Time

Today KaDoodle Bug Designs is releasing a new fall line of files. The design team has been hard at work getting different projects done to show the fans before the release.

For your chance to win a free file, go to and comment on any DT members project using the newest file.

This is my project using the Autumn Unicorn and Fall Border files.

For the acorn card, I took bits and pieces out of the Fall Border file and made a 4.5 squared card.

The start of a school career

Hello Beans. Today I am on SVG Attic's blog and I bring you a pop up box card from the SDS Gearing Up 4 School file.

Both of my kids start back to school today, I think we must be the last school district in the US to be starting so late! But today marks an even bigger achievement, my youngest starts preschool.

To show our gratefulness for the ever so hard job of teaching I made this card for the assistant that will be helping the teacher this year!
I changed a few things on the card to make it more specific to the teacher.
