Hi everyone! Today I am bringing you a little something special. Growing up as a kid, I never ever got to see my name personalized on anything (which made me dislike my name just that much more). I was one of those kids that really wanted one of those little license plates or pen or anything with my name on it. My husband has such a common name it was never an issue for him. So what did he do? He named our kids with uncommon names. That's right, he named them. But it's all good because they have a mom to rectify not finding their name anywhere!

When I received my box of American Craft goodies for our Xyron/American Craft collaboration this week, I was excited to see it was centered around two of my daughter's favorite things right now: Mermaids and Unicorns. So since she has an uncommon name of Learic, I made her her own personalized princess story book.

I found a mad lib that would be fitting to not only her version of her story, but also one that I could incorporate these awesome glitter phrases and thickers. This is also a great activity to do with your preschooler! Helps them use their imaginations and get interested in reading.
Right away she wanted the story to be about her unicorn, Fantasia.
The title I found in the Silhouette Store was perfect for this book. I was able to use my 1.5" Sticker Maker for adhering the tiny letters to the background image
Can't have Glitter Wishes with no glitter!
After I embossed the princess dress with my Sizzix Big Shot, I ran a few foam tabs through my 1.5" Sticker Maker to make pop up sections for the dress.
Next I assembled each element for the pieces to go into the book with my Xyron Mega Runner® .
I used the Craftwell eBrush to bring color to the edges on many of the cut out pieces.
All the pieces and pages that will go into the book...
The Xyron Creative Station® was a huge help in getting adhesive to the back of the glitter phrases. I didn't have to wait for any glue to dry. It was just pop it through the machine, peel, and adhere.
 Pages 1 and 2 complete...
 Final Project:

It's hard to tell in the photos, but there are glitter swirls starting with the fairy on page 2, throughout the book.
