Graduation - Silhouette Challenge #38

Graduation season is upon us! For this card, I was asked to incorporate the recipients love for Garfield as well as her double degree in IT and medical administration.
The face of the computers have the medical symbol on them
When the computers are opened, there is programming language on the screen
Open it up and Garfield stands proud

Let Freedom Ring

On this Memorial Day, it is important to remember really why many of us have a three day weekend. It isn't about camping, bbqing, or shopping all the sales. It is about remembering those who gave their life in the line of duty to give our freedom to us.

My small tribute of thanks will be posted here today and Wednesday, 6/1/16.

For the base of this card, I used Mojo Monday's sketch #450

After creating the base, twice I didn't like the color combo of the first, I chose a KaDoodle Bug Design file 'Army Penguin'

The finishing touch was the 'Let Freedom Ring' caption I added to the bottom of this card.

County Fair

I had a special request for a thank you card. It needed to be in a county fair theme, pink plaid in there somewhere, and a chicken, jar of jam, and strawberries with winning ribbons.

I decided to go with an easel card for this. I wanted a table though so I decided to make a table pop out.

I also felt that you cannot have a chicken card without chicken wire! The only downside to working with real wire is it has a mind of it's own so the card may not be as flat as needed.

Mojo Monday Challenge #449

It's been a bit since I have been able to show a Mojo inspired project. I would get them done, but get busy with other stuff and then miss the deadline! So yesterday I made sure to sit down and do not one, but two cards.

Happiness is ice cream. I've never seen a person eat ice cream and not be happy, especially children!

Copper plated thank you cards

I recently received an order for three thank you cards. I received the Classy Copper stack from DCWV the other day and I really really wanted to try this stack!

My favorite part of these cards was being able to make each one different, but have the same theme.
Each card base is a Lori Whitlock design from the Silhouette Design Store.

Dance in the Rain

Lightning and Thunderstorms with big raindrops have always been my favorite kind of weather. I learned to dance in the storms rather than let them get the best of me!

For this card and box set, I used the Shoptastic Cuties Umbrella and Rain Boot Cuties files.

The card fits inside of the box for an easy gift!

Birthday Purse Invites

Today I bring you a cute set of birthday invites I was asked to make. These were for a little girl turning 6. They were going to have a spa party, dinner, and sleepover.
What little girl does not love a purse?!

When I got this order, I knew right away I wanted to use SVG Attic's Parisian Purse from the Fashionably French set.
The customer was very happy and excited for her daughter to see them.

Vintage 1982

My husband's birthday is on Sunday, May 15th. Now my birthday is four months prior to his which was super cool when I turned 18 and 21 before him. Then pretty much after that it all went down hill!

He likes to tease me for weeks even months before and after my birthday that I am old.

Well, he married a crafter so his birthday gift box and matching card this year are that of an old style black and white tv (one he had as a kid, old man).

I found this 3D file of an older tv in the Silhouette Store while brainstorming on what I could do for him. It just clicked in my head right away.

You know you are old when you used to have a B&W tv, no remote, and foil on the antennas (what is written inside the card)!

Vintage, genuine original parts, and limited edition are all true facts!

One thing my husband has taught me is to let go a little in life. So when I am able to do so with my crafting, I love to do so!

Happy Birthday Bears

We have a lot of summer birthday's in our family so I am getting a small head start on all of those cards that will be needed!

For this set of cards, I used just one svg set file from KaDoodle Bug Designs 'Yummy Treat Bears'.

I couldn't use this great file without using equally great paper! This is by far one of my favorite stacks from DCWV, 'The Birthday Wishes Stack'.
There's plenty of more files within this set that I plan on using as well.

My favorite part of the bears are their noses I think!
The ice cream bear is on a small easel card. I wanted the bear herself to pop
