Silhouette Challenge #36~A Grateful Heart...

...is a thankful heart. I found this white glass frame on the clearance rack at Michael's. I couldn't find anything wrong with it so I bought it knowing I would do some vinyl work with it!

Silhouette Challenge #36-Anything Vinyl

The pink vinyl is actually sparkly vinyl.

I find vinyl can be used on several different surfaces. Picture frames to make a statement, cards, cups, shirts, vehicles, etc. Enter your project at: http://www.silhouettechallenges.com/

Big news!

Well Sugar Beans, I am no longer a guest designer for SVG Attic. That is right, my reign from being a part of their guest designers is no longer. However, they have asked me to stay on as part of their I-Team, Inspirational Team.

What this means is, I am a full time designer for SVG Attic now! I am so excited. This is a huge honor to be able to work with such a great team. Below is a recap of a smaller portion of projects I have done from before I was a guest designer to now.

I am back on their blog on the 6th with my first I-Team project!

Paper Play Sketches #4

I really am becoming addicted to the challenges I keep finding! I like to be challenged, keeps me on my toes!

This weeks Paper Play Sketches inspiration made me think of a teacher! With a teacher there's always a clipboard and a thanks needed!

Mojo Monday #441

I am loving the Mojo Monday challenges! This weeks, reminded me of a gateful card. So with a little bit of modification, that is what I made!

One a Day Keeps the Doctor Away!

I get to be a guest designer for Die Cuttin' Divas! I was assigned medical or doctor's theme.

I purchased this SVG file, the whole set minus nurse, from SVG Attic. Nurse Betty is from KaDoodle Bug Designs

Hoppy Easter

The inspiration for this Easter card, came from DCWV's Stack-a-holic Challenge. Now, I am and always have been a DCWV stack-a-holic! Even if I don't need that particular stack, I really just need to have it because someday I might need it!

Spring Birthday

My husband's aunts birthday is today. I set out to make a fun and happy birthday card. My husband said it was to complex so I had to make a different one!

I will let you be the judge! The pink one is the first card and the purple one is the second card I made for her!

For this card, I used DCWV's 'Confetti' stack, which I LOVE and KaDoodle Bug Designs Birthday cake cutie from their Shoptastic Cuties series.

For the second card, I used a simple base file for the card I found on Silhouette Design Store's website. I decided that DCWV's rolled flowers (purple) and Garden Charm stacks were perfect for this card.
Materials Used:
Silhouette Cameo
Silhouette Design Store http://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/
DCWV DIY Project Stack 'Rolled Flowers', Confetti, and Garden Charm stacks

When life gives you lemons....

Give it back and ask for chocolate! The inspiration for this fun, cheery card came from Mojo Monday! I was drawn to their inspiration sketch this week and felt it needed to be a fun, cheery, lemon card!

FOUR ring circus!

I had a request for a thank you card for someone taking care of someone else's children. I asked if there was any particular theme or color needed or if it was designers choice. Designers choice! My favorite kind of order to fulfill.

I used to run an in home daycare so when I think of watching other kids, I relate it to the circus! Monkey's, lions, fire, elephants, balls, stars, the whole works. So I set to Pinterest for some inspiration.

I liked the base of these cards so I went with them!

Hopping in the garden! Sunny Day Crafting Challenge #3

Hello Sugar Beans! Today, March 20, 2016, is a new challenge week for Sunny Day Crafting. You have two weeks to upload your entry to win a prize!

Challenge #3 is a cute wittle bunny. I used to have a bunny, Spots, when I was a child so I kinda went all out on this challenge.

As soon as I saw the bunny with a flower, I knew exactly what I was going to do for this challenge!

VW Camper Van

Well, this relatively "easy" project turned into an all day project! I purchased this 3D file with the intention of filling it with candy. Little did I know, that despite what the photo of the project depicted, it couldn't hold candy. Or anything!

So I set to work to modify the file for what I needed. It is far from perfect, but it works!

Champion of Hearts

Boxer dogs, what can I say. If you have owned a boxer, you know what I am talking about! We have had two, our eldest girl past away two years ago. Boy do we still miss her.

Our other girl, Seaka, is 10-years-old. Which means our time is limited. Although, you would never really know she is an elderly dog! She still has a heart of gold and the mind of a pup.

Boxers are known for being great family dogs. They can decipher between playing with an adult versus a child. Seaka Raei is one of the kindest and gentlest dogs to our two children, always has been. She loves them to pieces, yet protects them when it is needed.

So this new card goes out to our Heffalump. She is the champion of our hearts for sure!

Rustic Baby Boy

Oh finally away from the pink! Part of the reason why I purchased this stack (DCWV Happy Day) of paper was specifically to do baby cards and I love that it is applicable to either sex.

For this card, I did more customization on it rather than using any one specific SVG file.

Stand Under My Umbrella

Spring is upon us in the Inland Northwest. Birds are chirping, flowers are popping up, Mother Nature is menopausal rains one second and shines the next, and the solicitors who try to say they are not soliciting are knocking at the door!

For this card, I was asked to use an umbrella with the sentiment. Now I could've just done the two of those and left it alone, but what fun is in that?!

Baby Girl

It must be baby season! Which gives me the great opportunity to use chicken wire with my rustic baby cards, so no complaints here.

For this baby card, I steered away from the rustic deer theme and went with a more shabby chic baby girl style.

It's your birthday, pig out! Sunny Day Crafting Challenge #2

I have been accepted to another design team, Sunny Day Crafting. Now what I LOVE about this new team is that every two weeks we host a challenge. The crafty person in you can use any part of the challenge photo. Color, subject, animal, etc. The best part is, the project does not have to be a card. It can be whatever you want!

This week's challenge picture is this oh so cute Piglet!

Birds and the Trees

While looking at blogs, I came across Sunny Day Crafting's (link at bottom of page) challenge page. I saw the birds as the last challenge picture and I just knew I needed to make something.

One of my favorite trees in the yard is starting to get little buds on it! Since the cherry blossom tree only blooms for a brief period, I decided to make a model of it!

Silhouette Challenges #35 March 1st

For this months challenge, I have decided to do a challenge using a household material that you normally would not think or see incorporated into a card.

For me, I chose chicken wire..........
