The importance of giving...

I made little gift packs for my son's classmates, teachers, and bus drivers. While my children (7 and 3) were excited to see the little treats, I felt it was important to let them know that it is more about the fact that my son gets to give these presents away rather than keep them.

Using KaDoodle's Winter Reindeer Peeker file and their Sweet Treat Gingers, I was able to make these gifts!
The teachers and bus drivers received a sweet smelling pumpkin hand wash.
Teachers and anyone involved in my child's life actively I feel need to have a thank you reminder because they really do shape our children's lives daily.

I used the Sweet Treat Gingers file to make these chapstick holders for each teacher and bus driver!
I then used both files to make 22 gift bags that had a Christmas pencil, eraser, and goodies in it.
To save on time (I only had a day free to do this all) I was able to use the print and cut feature for the tags and labels. KaDoodle's cute files were just the PERFECT touch to these gifts!

All the new winter files are a must see...http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/

An Angel gets her wings

I was asked to make an Angel card. I asked the customer if she would like a 3D globe with an angel in the middle. She was really excited and even more excited when I asked her if she wanted a matching card.

I knew right away what files I was going to use! SVGATTIC.com have the best 3D files. Even though I am just a guest designer for them and it is not my month to post for them, I had to use these files!

Waiting for Santa

I think Santa lost one of his reindeer! This little guy is peeking out the window waiting on Santa!

I used KaDoodle Bug's freebie file to create this card. All I knew was that I wanted him to look out a window. Little did I know it was going to turn into such a large project!

Please Santa, bring me a puppy

Puppy's and kitten's seem to be a very popular item to receive for Christmas!

I have even toyed with the idea of a kitten for our children for Christmas, however I am allergic. Sorry kids, you're welcome furniture, carpet, and counter tops!

Here is card #3 of the 4 I was asked to make.

All I knew was that the recipient likes dogs. I had this Santa's bag file that I was waiting for a reason to use! At first I was going to replace the teddy bear with the puppy, but then I thought why not both?! The puppy comes from KaDoodle Bug Designs 'Summer Puppy' file: http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=391

Tune in tomorrow for card #4 it is a brisk card...

Hot Chocolate and Big Hugs

I usually do not do more than one blog post in a day (most cards take a minimum of a day to a week to make!). However, today is a special day.

This card is for a special little girl, Safyre, who lost her whole family in a fire two years ago. Not only has she been left physically scarred, she will probably be emotionally scarred for life as well. All she asked for Christmas was cards from people, so here is my contribution. I will post the link to her story and information below!

I made this card using one of KaDoodle Bug's newest designs, Warm Cocoa Polar Bears (http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18&products_id=991). The card base is from Scrappy Dew's Mojo Monday freebie file. http://www.scrappydew.com/

Silent night...

What is your favorite Christmas Carol? Mine is Silent Night!

For this card, I took what I imagine a nice silent night would be, mixed with one of my favorite Christmas collections, a snow globe. One of the snowglobes in my collection has Santa and his reindeer flying around a tree, kids building a snowman, and toys above a little mini village all while singing here comes Santa Claus.

Okay now you want to see this globe right!

What does Santa do after the gifts are all given?

I imagine that right after Santa delivers all of his packages, we will find his chair empty, presents awaiting to be opened, his boots by the chair, the list forgotten for at least another six months, and his clothes warming by the fire!

I was asked to make four Christmas cards, makers choice. (Which I love because when it is left up to me, my imagination runs wild)

I bring you card #1 a 'What about Santa' card. If only I had a nakey Santa to hide inside the card (since all his clothes are hanging by the fire!).
