10 Little Monkey's

I was asked to make five birthday invites with the instructions of something with a monkey, pink, green, white, and purple. This is what I came up with.

These are 5x7 waterfall cards.

Breast Cancer

Almost a year ago, we lost our dog to cancer and then our favorite aunt to breast cancer. October is breast cancer awareness month. I was requested to make a card for a lady who's dear friend has recently been diagnosed. I was given the reigns to do what I would like and this brought out  the creativity in me. I had a vision of what I wanted and I am happy it turned out better than what I thought it would!

It took me a good day to make all of the blossoms. They all have three layers of petals and the centers are quilled, then dipped in a frosty light pink glitter. Before assembling the flowers, I inked them with white and pink ink to give them a little bit more detail.

The trunk of the tree is quilled in two different shades of brown. I like this look for dimension and something different.

It took about a full days of work to quill the tree!

After the blossoms were all assembled and dry,

I attached them to the card base that I made. I wanted to have the swing "swing" when the card is opened so I designed a curved shaped card in cricut craft room.

The finalized product is pretty awesome!

Travel Anyone?!

This explosion box was requested for a sister who loves to travel. Since she loves to travel so much, I decided to do a suitcase theme.

Inside is her favorite place to stay when visiting Hawaii, as well as her favorite things to do.

There are two cruise ships in the waves, palm trees, and sand. The lobster, crab, shrimp, and sea shells pull out as tags so that little messages can be written on them!

Thank you for joining us on My Cricut Craft Room's Minnie, Mickey and Me Blog Hop

I made a Mickey double tri-fold card to share with you today.
I made this card for a friend's son who went into surgery before he was 2!
His two favorite Mickey characters are well Mickey and Donald!
I left three 4x6 areas for photos of him in the hospital.
 Add his name...
and the date of his surgery...
and some photos for lasting memories!
It folds down nice and flat for storage.
